The Chairman, Mr. B. Muthuraman, is the Business Standard CEO of the Year
Mr. B. Muthuraman, the Chairman of the company has been declared by the financial daily, Business Standard, as the BS CEO of the Year for 2004-05. The award went to him for the transformation of Tata Steel in to one of the most efficient companies in India and his triumphs on the global stage through aggressive acquisitions. He is also recognised for successfully pursuing cost control and improving profitability.
The list of previous winners of the 'BS CEO of the Year' award includes Bharat Forge Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Baba N. Kalyani, Tata Group Chairman Mr. Ratan Tata, Reliance Group Chairman Mr. Mukesh Ambani, Hero Group Chairman Mr. Brij Mohan Lall Munjal and Infosys Chairman and Chief Mentor Mr. N. R. Narayan Murthy.
