Hot Water Bathhouse inaugurated

The Managing Director of Tata Sponge Iron at Bilaipada of Keonjhar district has dedicated a hot water bathhouse to its contractor workers and employees, constructed at a cost of Rs. 6 lakh inside the plant premises, in a formal ceremony organized inside the plant premises on 5th December, 2002. This is a very unique gesture by any management towards the well being of its workmen as practicing of such a provision in any industry is not heard. The bath house has a capacity of storing 6000 litres of hot water and adequate liquid soap, which will cater to the needs of 14 men & 14 women at a time.

The Managing Director as Chief Guest of the function expressed his satisfaction over the completion of yet another facility for the workmen and desired that other industries in the country should emulate such practices for their workforce. Among others who spoke on this occasion were Mr. T. P. Ninan, Sr. General Manager, Mr. O. P. Sharma, Dy. General Manager. Mr. B. M. Mishra, Chief of HR & IR requested the workmen to make proper use of the facility for the maximum benefit of all.
