Environment Clearance for Kiln#3
The company has received environmental clearance from the Government of India (Ministry of Environment & Forests) for the expansion of capacity by 1,50,000 TPA by installation of 3rd kiln. After this expansion, the installed capacity would go up from 2,40,000 TPA to 3,90,000 TPA.
It was the eve of Diwali, the 11th of November 2004, when the company received the much awaited clearance. This will enable Tata Sponge to carry out its expansion plans. It came as an excellent Diwali gift for everyone, visible in the jovial faces of the employees during the ‘Bhumi Pujan’ performed on the 12th of November, 2004.
