GreenTech Gold Award for Environment Excellence
Tata Sponge has always taken pride in its underlying philosophy of achieving business excellence while maintaining a perfect equilibrium with the ecology. The company's resolute endeavor towards environment conservation has often reciprocated in the form of numerous awards from reputed agencies.
A recent addition to the feathers in its cap was the GreenTech Environment Excellence Gold Award in the Metal sector for the year 2005. The awards were given away by the GreenTech Foundation, in a function held in Goa on 31st August 2006.
The award was received by Mr. D K Mohanty, Asst. General Manager (PS&E) from His Excellency, Mr. S C Jamir, Governor of Goa. Also present in the function were officials of MOEF, Chairman, Goa Pollution Board and Dy. Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Willfred, in addition to several senior executives of leading companies.
