Greentech Environment Excellence Gold Award 2006-07
Tata Sponge has come a long way in setting a benchmark in environment conservation for its peers in DRI industry. As the company completes 25 glorious years of harmony with nature, the prestigious Greentech Environment Excellence Gold Award for the year 2006-07 comes yet again as a fitting recognition for its relentless initiatives bringing about a sea change in its business management while being associated with DRI industry, normally labeled as a polluting group. Measures to curb pollution at all levels while maintaining high operating standards have always gone hand in hand at Tata Sponge.
The coveted award was received by Mr.Suresh Thawani, Managing Director, Tata Sponge Iron Ltd., during a formal award giving ceremony organized by Greentech Foundation at Goa on 31st August 2007.
