TERI Corporate Environmental Award 2007
Tata Sponge received the Certificate of Appreciation from TERI (The Energy Resources Institute) in the field of Corporate Environmental Excellence for the year 2007. This is a prestigious recognition towards environmental management and innovative initiatives amongst corporates with a turnover between 100 and 500 crore rupees category.
Amongst 120 applicants all over the country, Tata Sponge was one of the top 3 companies short listed for this award. Incidentally, Tata Sponge had received TERI Award in this category in 2002-03.
Mr. D. K. Mohanty, A.G.M. (PS&E) had participated in the award giving ceremony at New Delhi, where Hon’ble Finance Minister Mr.P Chidambaram was the chief guest and gave away the awards to the winners.
