Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Tata Sponge goes the TPM way
Inspired by the improvements being brought in the overall system of the company, Tata Sponge has decided to implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practice and has already made a headway in this direction. The company is currently in the process of implementing 2-S and imparting training to its workforce. For this purpose, the consultancy of Mr.Tomoya Watanabe, a member of the Japanese Institute of Planned Maintenance (JIPM) has been hired. The company is hopeful of achieving the TPM certification within two years.
