Vidya Shakti Mela at Tata Sponge
Under the supervision of Mrs.Nilima Pandit and assistance from the ladies & employees of Tata Sponge Iron, the second Vidya Shakti Mela was organized on 6th October 02 at Tata Sponge Township at Bilaipada of Keonjhar District. More than 25 stalls serving food items & offering brain-teasing games were arranged by volunteers on this occasion for the visitors. The metal began at 6 PM and continued up to 11 PM. The mela saw a participation of over 1500 people from the township and nearby areas. The Chairperson of Vidya Shakti Nyas, Mrs. Nilima Pandit told newsperson that the proceeds from this mela will be used to for free distribution of blankets and garments to the destitute living in the close vicinity of Tata Sponge Iron.
