What kind of care should I take while buying or selling securities?

You should purchase or sell securities only through authorised stockbrokers duly registered with Stock Exchanges. An assurance that you receive contract notes for all transactions should be provided. The broker's stamp with the SEBI registration/Code number should be affixed on the reverse of the transfer deed(s).
