The Ever Growing Tata Sponge Family
Ever since the company came into being, the closely knit Tata Sponge family has been a thriving community with a strong sense of personal bonding between its members. It gives the family immense amount of pleasure to welcome whenever a new member arrives.

Tata Sponge family extends a warm welcome to the newly joined recruits & wish a long & mutually satisfying tenure with the company.
Samir Kumar Purohit
SK Purohit

Tata Sponge welcomes Mr Samir Kumar Purohit, who joined our company as DDM (Land & Industrial Relations), Anugul on 22nd April 2013. He aspires to contribute to Coap Project team with his good experience in Public Relations & Land Acquisition.

Mr Purohit is unmarried. His father is a retired government servant, while his  mother has passed away.

Mr Purohit likes to spend his leisure hours reading books, watching television & writing articles of his interest. He believes Tata Sponge has a key role in bringing about prosperity to the State of Odisha.

Santosh Kumar Das
We warmly welcome Mr Santosh Kumar Das into our ever growing Tata Sponge family. Mr Das has joined as Asst Manager (Electrical) on 12th March 2013. He has acquired good experience working in the area after completing his BE (Electrical).

He is a native of Cuttack. His father has retired from active service in OSFC, while his mother is a housewife. They stay in their residence at Cuttack. Mr Das recently got married to Anita, who is currently a housewife.

Mr Das is fond of reading books & watching television in his leisure. He considers himself fortunate to be a part of the great name of Tatas.

Sonalika Das

The closely knit family of Tata Sponge had another reason to rejoice when a new family member, Ms Sonalika Das, joined as Asst Manager (Purchase) on 1st March 2013.

Sonalika's father is a retired teacher while mother a housewife. They live in the village of Bairamnagar, Balasore. She is married to Dipan K Dutta, who is an electrical engineer by profession. The couple have a lovely 3 year old son.

Sonalika's interests vary from dancing to reading books & participating in debate competitions. She considers Tata Sponge as an ideal place to work because of its values & an excellent track record in environment management.

Srikanta Ku Dandia
It is a pleasure to have amongst us Mr Srikanta Ku Dandia as our new family member joining our company as Asst Manager in the Operations department on 27th February 2013. Mr Dandia has acquired rich experience in the field of DRI operations and projects.

His father is a retired Government servant & mother a housewife. They reside at their native village at Banei, Sundargarh. He is married to Bibhusita & the couple are blessed with a 3 year old son.

Mr Dandia is fond of movies & likes to spend his leisure either watching television or reading short stories.

Raghu Nath Panda

Tata Sponge heartily welcomes Mr Raghu Nath Panda, who has become our new family member by joining as Sr Divisional Manager (Finance & Accounts) on 2nd Feb 2013. He brings in his rich experience of 17 yrs, working in the fields of Finance, Accounts & Taxation.

Mr Panda's father is a retired Govt servant, while mother is a housewife. He is married to Sarita & has a son named Omkar.

Mr Panda likes to read novels in his spare time. He considers Tatas as the best place to contribute in nation building, while preserving one's values and integrity.

Sarfaraz Iqbal Hussain
We extend our heartiest welcome to Mr Sarfaraz Iqbal Hussain, who has come to join our ever extending Tata Sponge family on 1st Dec 2012. He joins team Power Plant as Asst Manager.

Mr Hussain has his parents residing in his native village at Sundargarh. Other members of his family include his wife, a daughter (4yrs) and a son (1yr).

He considers Tata Sponge to be a truly world standard company, thanks to its concern for work ethics, environment and safety standards.

Haris Chandra Nayak

Warm welcome to Mr Haris Chandra Nayak, who has joined our company as DET and has become a part of the Tata Sponge family. He joins the Operations team. He has gained DRI operations related experience working in the industry.

His father has retired from Govt service, while mother is a housewife. His sister is pursuing her studies. Mr Nayak hasn't married yet.

Excellent work culture at Tata Sponge is among one of the key reasons he considers Tata Sponge to be one of the best companies in the country.

Pradeep Kumar Panda

We extend our heartiest welcome to Mr Pradeep Kumar Panda, joining the Tata Sponge family as Jr Officer (Stores) on 1st Aug 2012. He has accumulated rich experience in management of stores & purchase in the industry.

Mr Panda's father is a retired Govt servant while mother is a housewife. He is married to Saraswati Ratha, a teacher at Govt Nodal School, Rasalpur (Balasore).

Mr Panda likes to spend his leisure time reading newspapers & watching TV. He also enjoys playing the game of cricket whenever he finds time.

S Bhaskar
S Bhaskar We welcome Mr S Bhaskar into our ever growing Tata Sponge family. He joins as a Manager (Marketing) on 6th July 2012. His rich & varied experience of 30 yrs working in the industry will benefit the company in its pursuits towards prosperity.

Mr Bhaskar is unmarried & his family also includes 4 sisters & a younger brother. He was born & brought up in the city of Jamshedpur.

Mr Bhaskar likes to watch TV & play football during his leisure.

Girija Shankar Panda
Tata Sponge family welcomes Mr Girija Shankar Panda into its community. He has joined the company as Assisstant Manager, Electrical on 2nd July 2012. He has accumulated rich experience in the commissioning & maintenance of electrical equipment in power plants.

Mr Panda has his parents & 3 sisters in his family. He is unmarried.

He believes that life is a mixture of sorrow & joy and an individual must always remember that love & affection is the basis of our society.
