Tata Sponge has the pride of being chosen as a Finalist for the coveted Golden Peacock Award for Combating Climate Change. The certificate was presented in the Global Convention on Climate Change organized by Institute of Directors on 1st June 2008 at Palampur, H.P.

Delegates from various renowned organisations, educational institutions along with ministers and bureaucrats from all over India and abroad attended the convention.

Other finalists receiving the prestigious honour were GE Ltd, Bhilai Steel Plant (SAIL) & Shree Cements Ltd.
