 Exhibition on Green Technologies at Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, 17th July 2009. An International Convention on Clean, Green & Sustainable Technologies was jointly organized by the Multi Disciplinary Centre on Safety Health & Environment (SHE) & Orissa Mining Corporation (OMC) at Swosti Plaza, Bhubaneswar, from 15th to 17th July 2009. As a part of the convention, an exhibition on Green Technologies was organized at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar.Tata Sponge presented its stall during the exhibition and was honoured to be visited by several eminent personalities who included the Union Steel & Mines Secretary, Govt of India, the Hon’ble Member, Rajya Sabha Mr PM Mohapatra, the Chief Secretary & Chief Development Commissioner, Govt of Orissa, Mr Ajit Kr Tripathy etc. ISO 9001

ISO 9001 In line with the theme of exhibition, Tata Sponge showcased its various practices for conservation of environment some of which are unique. Tata Sponge is considered as the benchmark in environment management among the coal based DRI companies in India. Various displays in the stall were testimony to Tata Sponge’s unrelenting endeavors in this regard. Apart from several green initiatives concerning pollution control, plantation & waste heat utilization for generation of power, its unique drive to turn waste into wealth by converting fly ash into commercially produced superior quality bricks, was widely appreciated during the convention.
