Sponge wins Green India Award for Environment Excellence

Sponge has always taken pride in its underlying
philosophy of achieving business excellence while
maintaining a perfect equilibrium with the ecology. The
company’s steady endeavor towards environment
conservation has often been acknowledged by reputed
agencies in the past, in the form of numerous awards.
A recent addition to the green feathers in its cap was
by Frost & Sullivan, the international Business Research
& Consultancy Firm, which conferred the Green India
Award 2009 on the company in its Challenger Category.
This Award is based on detailed research by F&S,
following by detailed assessment of systems & processes
by the Experts at the company, in fulfillment of its
objective to make green a viable aspect of any business.
Like many other Firsts in its quiver of achievements,
Tata Sponge becomes the first sponge iron company in
India to receive this coveted award, which is a
validation of its unwavering commitment to progress
towards producing green sponge iron. |
