Quality Award 2010 for Tata Sponge

The exemplary business excellence model practiced at
Tata Sponge came up for recognition yet again by the
Confederation of Indian Industry (ER), in the form of
their Quality Award for the year 2010. Tata Sponge was
certified a Model TQM Company for 2010, in an industry
wide contest.
CII (ER) Quality Award has been designed on the lines of
EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Movement) Award.
EFQM, a non profit membership foundation, is the primary
business excellence network in Europe, gathering
organisations looking to excel in their market and in
their business. EFQM defines Excellence as the
outstanding practice in managing the organisation and
achieving results. |

The Award recognizes industry leaders with a known track
record of success in turning strategy into action and
continuously improving their organisation's performance.
In a formal ceremony organized by CII on 18th March, ‘11
at the ITC Sonar Bangla, Kolkata, our Managing Director,
Mr Suresh Thawani, received the prestigious award on
behalf of Tata Sponge. |
